Admissions Philosophy & Process
For the student to be eligible for admission, at least one parent or guardian must be a Christian who desires a Christ-centered education and who agrees with and actively supports our statement of faith, distinctive principles, and policies. A Christian student who desires to be here but whose parents are not Christians will also be considered if they understand and support our school philosophy and mission statement.
All families seeking admission to GCA must submit an application packet which includes the following: student application, report cards, standardized test results, any special education assessments, a completed pastoral/church reference form from a Bible-based Christian church, and a $150 application fee. All forms can be downloaded from the “admission” link on this website. Families will be provided with a statement of faith and parent/student handbook to review prior to the interview.
After receiving the completed application packet, the admissions staff will schedule an admissions test (if needed) and parent interview. Kindergarten – 7th grade students will take a basic skills test focusing on mathematics and reading comprehension if they do not have current achievement test scores. During the parent interview, an administrator and/or board member will meet with the parents to answer questions, review school policies, and discuss the school’s role in partnering with Christian parents.
An admissions committee will review all candidates for admission. Applicants will be notified of the decision of the admissions committee by email, phone, or mail.
GCA Family Registration:
Families will receive an acceptance letter and enrollment packet from the admissions staff. Please complete, sign and turn in all enrollment documentation to the school office so your child will officially become registered and scheduled into classes.
